Melanie Ward-Ablitt

Melanie completed the 3 year practitioner training (Diploma in Shiatsu - DS) and subsequent post-graduate year with the Bristol School of Shiatsu, one of the longest established Shiatsu schools in the UK. She is currently a teaching assistant at the School. She also provides Shiatsu at a mother and baby unit for women who have been involved in street sex work, as well as running her private practice in South Somerset. She is a Member of the Professional Register of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS) and abides by their code of ethics and conduct.
Her background is in visual art where, for 10 years, she found great joy in using her creativity to bring beauty into the world, and helping others to do the same. She sees her Shiatsu as a development of this, as she uses this creative healing art to help her clients see the beauty in themselves. She realised she wanted to train in Shiatsu after having a series of sessions and feeling the profound changes in herself. She still receives Shiatsu regularly. From her training, experience and her own healing journey, she brings a wide range of tools to support you with whatever may be going on in your life, and to help you move towards where you want to be.
