Karen Lester
Karen graduated in 2000 from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent having chosen the course as it offered the option of studying cranial techniques throughout the degree. As well as this it also offered the chance to treat babies in the last year of the course.
She since moved to North Dorset where she has built links with the local midwives and health visitors – giving talks to ante-natal groups – and seeing patients referred by the midwives as they see the positive changes in the patients.
In practising Osteopathy she has been able to combine the skills of her previous professions – as a jeweller and care assistant as she works with her hands and her people skills. She likes to feel that through Osteopathy she can make a difference to peoples’ lives and particularly to improving the lives of children.
